Do you not feel good today? Are you feeling kind of “under the weather” and everything seems to be wrong, and you’re not so happy about not feeling good? I’ve been there and I know how much it sucks to feel bad and off your game. Here are some methods to help you feel good again.

Simple Meditation
Start by putting yourself in your favorite and most comfortable position- sit, stand, lie flat on your back or even on your tummy. You can even close your eyes, it all depends on you. Then slowly inhale, slowly exhale, inhale, exhale…be aware of the rising of your chest (and your tummy as well, if you like) when you breathe in, and its falling back into place when you breathe out.
Think positive while meditating! Think about clean, fresh air when you inhale. Imagine, acknowledge and feel that you are healthy, wealthy, and wise! Think about the sun,the green earth, the growing trees, the wonderful smell of coffee, the sweet smell of flowers, the sound of singing birds, the sight of laughing children, etc. Retain these nice thoughts for as long a you can and be thankful for every beautiful and happy thing you can think about.
Make a “Happy List”
Think about and list the things that are presently working well in your life- the major aspects of life like your job, your love and family life, health, etc., and acknowledge that you are so blessed to have these gifts. Be grateful. These are all gifts in your life and you should be enjoying them right now!
Take A Walk
Take time out from the things that have been keeping you busy lately and take a stroll by yourself or with a friend or a pet. Go to the park, meet people, laugh with kids, enjoy the grass or sand, the sun or the drizzle. Walk and imagine all your worries being left behind on the ground as you take each step towards feeling great, towards happiness.
Learn Something New
Play an unfamiliar word or video game. Learn to play an instrument (drums are happy instruments!) or a new sport. Learn a new language ( even a few words will do), a new dance, a new song, or a new poem. Learn how to sew, to cook, to swim, to bungee jump! Learn to appreciate simple things. Learn how to show and tell your loved ones that you love and appreciate them.
Life is basically all about learning- by experience, by example, by relearning the good that has been unlearned or unlearning the not so good things that have been learned. Be thankful for your ability to learn a million new things, of your choice.
Decide
Happiness is a choice – a decision that only you can make for yourself. If you tend to not feel good often then pause, relax, and take time to remember these feel good methods – do a simple meditation, make a happy list, take a walk, learn something new, and after these, decide. Let go of that gloomy state of mind! Decide to feel good and happy and strive to be happy all the time!
