Three Bharatiya Janata Party ministers from the Indian state of Karnataka (in Bangalore) were “caught watching porn” by some private television channels covering the proceedings.
The party leaders and opposition members were “shocked” and activists stage protests outside the house of the ministers.
Co-operation ministers Lakshman Savdi, Women and Child Welfare minister C C Patil and Ports minister Krishna B Palemar were sacked by the state chief minister Sadananda Gowda.
The government has taken a right decision to sack the ministers who were in fact moral policing women on what dress they should wear to avoid getting raped.
The Women and Child Welfare minister had earlier said dressing ”provocatively” was a license to getting sexually assaulted.
If these kind of men are deciding the future and “welfare” of the people, I’m not surprise at thousands of stories about women being exploited around the world. A lesson from this episode: People should make wise decision while electing their representatives.
