We all love a famous family – watching their trials and tribulations unfold in the latest hit reality TV show somehow makes us feel that little bit more…normal. Despite their flashy cars, cosmetic surgery and huge LA mansions, underneath it all each family faces the same challenges and go through life changes.
Here are some families who live their lives under the glare of the media spotlight, and why we love them so much…
The Kardashians
The Kardashian sisters – Kim, Kourtney and Khloe – are all over our TV screens and in all the glossy magazines at the moment. It seems we can’t quite get enough of their latest hairstyles/outfits/boyfriends. Reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians proved a huge hit and mostly follows the high jinx of the three glamorous sisters, with their parents and siblings acting as a supporting cast.
Why we love them…the glamour…the cat fights…
The Osbournes
Black Sabbath lead singer Ozzy Osbourne invited us into his home to watch his crazy but loving family go about their eccentric everyday lives. Every parent could identify with Ozzy and Sharon as they stressed about their unruly teenagers who kept throwing parties in the family home.
Sharon went on to become a judge on the X Factor and then America’s Got Talent, while Jack reinvented himself as an action man who’s only high was adrenaline.
Why we love them…their eccentricity and love for small dogs.
The Hiltons
LA’s poutiest sisters, Paris and Nicky, are businesswomen, socialites, models, fashion designers and reality TV stars. As the great-granddaughters of Conrad Hilton – the founder of the Hilton Hotels chain – money has never been a problem for the pretty siblings, yet each has built her own career and remained steadily in the spotlight.
Why we love them…their ditziness.
Brangelina
Definitely the most super of all supercouples, if not the best looking, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie know a thing or two about fostering a child. The Hollywood A-listers have adopted 4 children so far in their bid to create the perfect ‘rainbow family’ and have had three of their own.
Why we love them….they’re just so gorgeous and nice.
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes
Perhaps not such a happy end to the Cruise-Holmes partnership, this month Katie filed for divorce after five years of marriage. Now a custody battle looks set to commence for daughter Suri and Cruise’s Scientology background could be called into question. Another Hollywood power couple bites the dust, well it was good while it lasted.
